A Special “History on Us!” for Fort Ligonier Days – Free Admission!

Since Hurricane Isaias is predicted to soak our battlefield and bring strong winds for the first half of the day, we're changing up our reenactment for Sunday, October 11, 2026

Instead of battle scenarios (because black powder does not fire well when wet), we’re pivoting to a day full of historical programming for the whole family! Programs offered will be based on the Forbes Campaign of 1758, the men and women of the British and French armies of the mid-18th century in North America, history tours, and more—most of it inside, where it is much drier, safer, and more pleasant in inclement weather.

As a result, Sunday, October 11 is a “History on Us” day! Enjoy FREE admission to Fort Ligonier all day while taking in historical programming and experiences from our visiting living historian friends!

Plus, don’t miss a Book Talk and Signing with Americana Corner’s Tom Hand of his book “America Victorious: Lesser-Known Campaigns and Commanders that Helped Win American Independence.” The talk starts at 11 AM, with the book signing afterward!
