Book Talk and Signing with Americana Corner’s Tom Hand
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us during Fort Ligonier Days weekend for a special America 250 event featuring a Talk and Book Signing of "America Victorius" by Mr. Tom Hand.
Mr. Hand is the founder and publisher of Americana Corner; a platform he launched in 2020 to share and preserve the story of America’s founding era. Through weekly articles and videos, he brings to life the pivotal events, foundational documents, and figures who shaped the United States, aiming to rekindle a spirit of patriotism and historical appreciation in his fellow citizens.
Mr. Hand’s passion for telling the Great American Story extends to preserving its cultural and historical treasures through the Preserving America program, funded through his Americana Corner Foundation. This nationwide initiative supports a diverse range of projects through grants, fosters long-term partnerships with historical organizations, and annually hosts the Preserving America Conference that brings together leaders in preservation and public history to share best practices, exchange ideas, and inspire collaboration.
Mr. Hand’s Preserving America program generously supports Fort Ligonier’s History Alive! program, an engaging experience for visitors to learn about the daily life of a frontier military outpost in North America during the 18th century. Weekends feature 18 century-inspired artisans, tradesmen, musicians, historical military units, and more who depict the culture and lifestyle of the colonial era.
Copies of America Victorious Lesser-Known Campaigns and Commanders that Helped Win American Independence –– a companion volume that highlights the lesser-known heroes who fought for our nation’s independence across countless battlefields in the early republic are available for purchase at Fort Ligonier’s Museum Store.
The book talk begins at 11:00 AM followed by the signing. Regular admission applies.
