Winter Quarters Workshop Series: Leatherworking 201 Portmanteau
Join us for this two-day workshop and make a reproduction of an 18th century portmanteau.
Students will have the opportunity to create a reproduction of a rare example from the Fort Ticonderoga collection.
At this workshop, you will prepare waxed-ends, prepare pre-cut portmanteau pieces for assembly, apply bindings, texture the leather, sew and attach leather-wrapped handles, prepare straps, attach buckles and straps, and sew the portmanteau together.
This workshop is for students ages 18+.
