Join us for George Washington's Friendly Fire Incident Commemoration with a presentation by Dr. Erica I. Nuckles, Fort Ligonier's Director of History and Collections. Make your reservation today! Limited capacity.

Event includes spirits and an individual size cheese plate. Guests will be seated at tables 6 feet apart with family or friends who have socially distanced together.

This event will be limited to 50 attendees.

“The Friendly Fire Incident, which occurred on November 12, 1758 near Fort Ligonier reminds us of the complexity of history and the experience of war,” says Erica Nuckles, Fort Ligonier’s Director of History and Collections. “It was a devastating event that resulted in the accidental death of many of George Washington’s fellow Virginians under his command, while also resulting in the capture of French prisoners who provided intelligence that led to the successful taking of Fort Duquesne by the British army.”
